Drool-worthy Yema Cake and Frozen Brazo by Claudine’s Homemade Classics

When it comes to food, the ones I like best are usually created by chefs and patissieres I’ve met. Not that I’m being biased or anything because I do appreciate food created by people I don’t know personally, but I’ve been such a lucky gal to actually  meet some of the quality ones. I met Claudine of Claudine’s Homemade Classics at a baking workshop in 2015 at what I refer to as my favorite kitchen in the South – Feed 5000. There were four of us in the class, two of whom were running cake businesses, Claudine being one of […]

Our Belo Baby Year and a Belo Baby Giveaway!

Note: This giveaway is officially closed. Winners have been announced. It’s been a year since I’ve sat listening to the Crystalle Belo introduced us to their all natural product line for babies, Belo Baby. I remember how eager I was to try the products on my youngest son, Judah, who was then experiencing dryness of skin that was causing him to itch and scratch. At that time, I was trying so many so-called baby soap bars and washes on him, desperate to stop his discomfort so he could sleep through the night. The pediatrician we consulted said it was nothing […]

Of #Mocktails and Motivation at #JollyUniversity Cook Off and Congress 2017

I said “yes”to judging the Mocktails category at the Jolly University Cook Off and Congress last March 3, 2017. I wasn’t sure at first when I learned that it was the category I’ve been assigned to judge, but later on decided that I’d do it from the point of view of a consumer. I may not know much about mixes and stuff, but I know my drinks, so that’s where I was coming from when I sat there and sipped on every single one of the 19 mocktails I was served. And if you’re curious about it, yep, I can’t tell you […]

Art and AirBnB: Celebrating Judah’s 6th Birthday

Since we enjoyed our first AirBnB experience, we thought that celebrating our youngest son’s birthday with another AirBnB booking was a great idea. This time, we decided to book a unit owned by our friends, Martel and Alelie, at SM Light Residences. Alelie told us ahead that the unit is so much smaller than the one we previously booked, but we didn’t mind. I read the feedback their very satisfied clients left on the site about their unit so we were confident that the place would be nice. (READ: A Birthday and an AirBnB staycation) Besides, smaller’s fine with us. We’re only […]

Press Release: Bubble Man dishwashing liquid and my (not-so) sensitive hands

I can’t begin to tell you how glad I am to have been introduced to Bubble Man dishwashing liquid last year. It’s the only dish washing liquid that doesn’t make my hands dry, peel and itch. My hands aren’t exactly a pretty sight because of my allergies. I don’t remember exactly how the allergies in my two fingers started, but I’m pretty sure it has something to do with the strong chemicals in the dish washing soap we used. Mind you, I don’t have delicate skin, I’m used to getting my hands dirty, but the chemicals in the dish washing […]
