Review: Olive Tree Bible Software for your Daily Devotions

I’ve been meaning to talk about Olive Tree since last year when I first started using it. I have been looking for Bible Reading plans and I came across the link in one of the blogs I’ve been reading. Olive Tree Bible Software¬†can be downloaded on most mobile gadgets. I use an iPhone so it’s where I downloaded it. I find it very handy especially when I need to unload my bag of heavy things to make my traveling more manageable. If you want to have your Bible and your reading plans along with you all the time, it’s a […]

Christmas Traditions: As for me and my household…

This is probably the most late we’ve started our Family Christmas Traditions. The kids had shows until mid-December and there were other commitments that we honored, and Jay has work until tonight; so we ended up putting up our Christmas tree two days before Christmas. We did drop by The Festival of Lights last 16th, right after our two younger kids’ school musicals, and we had a little celebration going on, but it felt so rushed because Jay had to go to work the next morning. Save our Christmas Traditions! I tried to save our Christmas Traditions this year by […]

Christmas Traditions: Happy Birthday Jesus party

I always look forward to the Christmas season because December is the only month we get to really spend time together as a family. All throughout the year, we always find ourselves swamped with so many activities, that even when we do find time to watch movies together or eat out, it’s almost always as if we’re in a rush. However, we do consider joining a few parties […]

Christmas Traditions: The Festival of Lights

It’s our fifth year (I think!) to include The Festival of Lights in our Christmas Traditions itinerary. The past two years, we’ve made sure to pass by it after our kids’ annual school musical which they’ve been staging at the RCBC theater in Ayala. Since we’re already in the area, I thought we might as well scoot over and see the beautiful lights dance at Ayala Triangle the same day. Family Christmas Traditions came really late for us this year. Pablo’s show, Matilda, closed on December 10 and Lukas’ and Judah’s school musical, All About that Baby, was staged yesterday, […]

Parenting & Homeschooling: Music and Discipline

I have been silently observing my eldest son’s progress with the keyboards the past few days. He only knows one song, he just had his first lesson with his dad last Monday, after all. But he’s been turning on that keyboard several times during the past two days and had been practicing the chords without prodding and singing along with it. I try not to make a big deal of it, at least not within his hearing. He’s turning 12 on Monday and no longer appreciates being fawned upon like a little boy. Pablo has always shown interest in the […]
