Albergo Hotel in Baguio

We booked our room at Albergo di Ferroca a.k.a. Albergo hotel via Agoda.com. We availed of the book now, pay later scheme which was great because it allows you to reserve your room for a week or so until you have the funds to pay for it. The deadline for our reservation was December 26. That was when the site claimed our payment online. We were so anxious about confirming our reservation that we called the hotel itself when our payment was taking too long to get through. We were quickly assured that the reservation had been made but that […]

Art and AirBnB: Celebrating Judah’s 6th Birthday

Since we enjoyed our first AirBnB experience, we thought that celebrating our youngest son’s birthday with another AirBnB booking was a great idea. This time, we decided to book a unit owned by our friends, Martel and Alelie, at SM Light Residences. Alelie told us ahead that the unit is so much smaller than the one we previously booked, but we didn’t mind. I read the feedback their very satisfied clients left on the site about their unit so we were confident that the place would be nice. The Newbie Traveler

I have never really understood the value of travelling until I got married and started homeschooling my eldest son. As a child, my parents barely took us outside of Manila. The only traveling we’ve done, really, was going back and forth their hometowns in Batangas and joining other families from our church in beach get-togethers during summers. That Bellarocca Summer

Bellarocca happened in the summer of 2015. The place was straight out of my dreams. You might be thinking it’s probably because I’ve not been in too many resorts in my life, but it’s not that. Whatever seeming barrenness the renovation at that time brought about was filled out by my imagination. We went with friends. It was an 8-hour drive (one way) with a ride on a RORO ship. We all rode the resorts’ service going there so we can all rest along the way. I usually don’t commit to such trips unless we have our own car to […]

The Beauty that is Puerto Del Sol

I almost didn’t go. I honestly didn’t want to because of the major adjustment the family had to make to let me go on a 3-day team building trip at Puerto Del Sol with Spiralytics, a digital marketing company I write for on a freelance basis. But it was my husband who encouraged me to go and have my first ever “me time” away from my children and the family in years. Those who know me really well, a.k.a. my best friend and a few confidantes, understand exactly how big of a challenge this was for me….. But there are […]
