Was IIDM’s Content Marketing Workshop worth signing up for?

I’ve been on a lookout for an online marketing workshop for so long, so when I saw the advert for the October 3 Content Marketing Workshop, I couldn’t contain my excitement! The ad says it covers content marketing, KPIs, metrics, SEO, email newsletters, social media, ebooks and planning social media campaigns among others. The workshop also boasted of an impressive lineup of speakers– top practitioners in digital marketing such as Carlo Ople (Di9it), Josh Villanueva (Rappler), Yves Gonzales (MRM Worldwide Manila), Jayvee Fernandez (ID8 Inc) and Manny Nepomuceno (BBDO Guerrero Ortega). These people are not just employees of position in […]

Stitches and lips: Lukas gets sutures

I wasn’t home when it happened. I was 5 minutes away, waiting for Jay and the kids to come and pick me up at Bonifacio High Street where I had a meeting. The only witness was Pablo. He said that Lukas jumped, spun in mid-air, and landed hard on his mouth! If you know Lukas well, you’d know he’s a climber and he’s never met an accident before. He must’ve tripped on his own legs when he twisted. Poor baby! I was hanging out at Fully Booked! when I received Jay’s text message. I immediately dropped the book I was reading […]

The housewife takes on a full time online job

It was my idea to get me a full time online job. I felt it was something we just had to do.  I’ve been taking on short-term projects for the past several years but it was no longer working for us. We’re raising three boys and they’ve got needs we have to meet and bills we have to pay. I also didn’t want Jay to take on any more extra jobs; that wasn’t working for us either. I want him to have time for me and the kids and having jobs on the side take that away from us. Moving closer […]

#ThrowbackThursday: An old blog about Pablo at 5

Note: Our Pablo is turning 8 in less than 2 weeks and it was just timely for me to have found this from my old blog site.  It’s true what they say that the dynamics change as our children get older.  This old blog just reminds me how fast days go by. I miss our 5-year old Pablo but parenting a would-be-8 years old is a thrill on its own. Turning 5 He’s been waiting almost the whole year to turn 5! Here’s what I know: When Pablo turns 5, he expects to be bigger like his favorite kuyas Chuck, Joaqx and […]

Sharing my insight on Prophetic lullaby for babies

I grew up exposed to worship hymns. My parents were members of a Catholic charismatic community and they had weekly worship services and activities that used a lot of these songs. Being musically inclined even as a child, I easily absorbed the melodies and more importantly, the words. Traditional hymns were heavily based on the scriptures and unconsciously, I had memorized numerous verses to heart. Music stays in the heart Years gone by and those verses never left me. That time, despite having read all the stories in the bible at a young age, I wasn’t aware that I had […]
