Tanzan atbp: From old into new, from trash into treasures

I chatted with a fellow work-at-home mom today. Her name is Sheryl, a very young mom who has a knack for turning trash into beautiful things. You don’t believe me? Just look at this! Nice, right? She sent that to me last week. Sheryl runs a business called Tanzan atbp where she releases all her creative energy making pretty and usable things out of what we would normally throw out with the garbage. Curious about the brains behind Tanzan atbp, I bugged Sheryl to let me into her private world so I could get to know her a bit better. Young mom at […]

Carving “Me time” out of “Mom-me time”

Being a mom is one of the most beautiful things that ever happened to me. I look at my kids and I’m still in awe at how good life has been to me despite the road bumps I’ve run into throughout the years. But much as it is a gift to be a mom, it is also one of the most challenging, most difficult roles I ever have to take on. When you’re a mom, you may come to find that most of your time is devoted to everyone else and everything else, except yourself. It sounds a bit selfish thinking of taking […]

Marriage: 7 Reasons why I love dating my husband

I love winning in contests and I love it more when I win something big.  The buffet lunch for two at Midas Cafe that I won from Not your ordinary mum was one of my biggest contest wins this year! Hubby and I were so excited to finally go on a date with just the two of us. These dates are very rare for us. It’s not that we don’t prioritise it, it’s just that it’s kinda hard to find friends willing to look after our three acrobats for a few hours (among other reasons) while we frolic by our twosome. It […]

The housewife goes to Blogapalooza 2014

Blogapalooza 2014 was hands-down the most anticipated blogger event of the year, BOW! Seriously, almost everyone from Mommy Bloggers Philippines who signed up couldn’t contain our excitement. We talked, planned and prepared for it. Expectations ran high especially for the first-timers, hearing what fellow bloggers who had gone to last year’s had to say about it. One of the things I like about the event was that the venue was just walking distance from where I live. My hubby and I, along with our kids, frequent SM Aura, so I’m pretty much familiar with that mall. The good stuff! The good […]

Letting kids be kids at Kids Workshop

Update: A fellow mom blogger mentioned on Facebook that Kids Workshop has closed business in Greenhills. FYI. When I received a confirmation email for us to check out Kids Workshop,  I knew our kids were in for a treat, after all, what kid can resist a play venue, right? So last Monday, off we went to Greenhills to see what it was all about. We’ve been to many other kiddie play venues and I was curious to find out what this place has to offer that’s different from the others we’ve gone to. Kid’s Workshop is like a Daycare It didn’t take us long […]
