Soccer mom stays home

Pablo’s been asking for soccer for years.  Four years, to be exact. This home school year, the Lord finally allowed us to fulfill our promise to our son. We took him to his first soccer class at ASCOM Soccer Field last Tuesday afternoon.  The kids in his class were already so good at it! My eyes almost popped out my head when the goalie three years Pablo’s junior jumped so high and hit the ball with his forehead. And Pablo…well, he obviously didn’t understand the rules of the game yet and he looked like he didn’t know what he was doing half of […]

PDF-ready for home school year 2014

This home school year 2014 is different for us. For one thing, Lukas is entering Kinder level and is already required by the Department of Education to enroll with a DepEd-approved umbrella school. We’re home schooling him, of course, and though going independent has been a huge consideration for years, we’re putting our faith in God’s provision and enrolled him under Peniel Christian Academy along with our 9-year old, Pablo. 5 Blockbuster reasons why you should go to Movie Stars Cafe

I was so excited when I learned that I was given the opportunity to take my family for a night out at the Movie Stars Cafe at SM MOA by the bay on April 30. Friends of ours had a date there last year via a discount site but I didn’t quite catch the idea of how amazing the place was.  But all’s good because I like pleasant surprises, especially if it’s the entertainment kind. Having been in the live entertainment circuit for a big chunk of  our professional lives, Jay and I are very choosy with the kinds of entertainment that we go to. That, […]
